Our Friends of Scouting 2008 planning is under way!

 I am very pleased to announce that Andy Clark will be the 2008 Family FOS Chairman. 

And this year we will have two scouters setting up the schedules:

Susan Harrison will be scheduling the troops, and Veniece Griffin will be scheduling the packs.

Also new this year will be our PaceSetter Program headed up by Randy Guttenberger.

Since the council deadline to have all units scheduled is December 1st, one of the above scouters will be contacting you very soon to get a date for your unit’s 2008 presentation.  If your unit has an FOS contact person, please forward that information to me ASAP.

Our district is blessed to have so many scout volunteers and families that believe in the value of scouting and are willing to support the program financially.  The goal of the 2008 committee is to reach those families that are not yet aware of the importance of FOS.  Please help us achieve this goal by scheduling a presentation for an event such as Blue and Gold or Court of Honors where there is a large parent attendance.
